KCAI offers 13 studio majors taught by award-winning faculty who are professional artists, designers, and scholars. You can round out your studies with one of four minors and become the artist or designer that you aspire to be.
1st Year Foundation
Foundation is a year-long immersive experience for all new students. Here, you’ll find your people, challenge artistic preconceptions, experiment with a variety of media, learn new skills, take creative risks and build the foundation for your creative education.
Liberal Arts
Embrace the study of the humanities, and social and natural sciences as the foundation for your education. Liberal Arts serve as a framework for art and design. Come in with an open mind, create different perspectives, and gain the kind of intellectual, civic, and aesthetic grounding that’s both meaningful and lasting.

Complement your major with an interdisciplinary minor at KCAI. Supplement your studio practice with classes that best fit your interests and goals. Add depth to your education with an extra 16 credit hours.
