Courtney Wasson (‘05 Art History & Printmaking)
Curator and Executive Director of the Kansas City Artists Coalition
Courtney is the new Executive Director of the Kansas City Artists Coalition. With her background as an executive director, and curatorial and gallery experience, combined with her advocacy for the arts and artists, she helps to further advance the mission of the organizations she works with. “As Executive Director of KCAC, I aspire to have a positive impact within and around the Kansas City region — a place where culture thrives, that is welcome to all, and that anyone would be proud to call home. It is my want and goal to have a positive impact on our community. It is my intention to use my skills and experience to honor KCAC’s history and goals moving forward,” she said.
Wasson recently served as the Executive Director of Studios Inc, where she helped grow and stabilize the organization both financially and programmatically by developing impactful relationships and community programming, in addition to working collaboratively with other organizations.
